Not Much Photography...

I haven't been able to do much photography at all for weeks now. Either I've been working or just busy; usually these go hand-in-hand. Take, for example, this stretch -  I"ll probably end up working 10 days straight by the end of this week. This shot here is probably my best shot, technically, in a while. Sadly... it's a shot I may forget. It's only a "pretty" photo, but nothing more. Well, to me. I hope it means something to someone, but I'm not feeling it.

I've been looking at a crazy amount of photography online, though, trying to keep my mind in it, at least when I can. A lot of portrait work. It's amazing seeing the talent that's out there. Hopefully I'll be able to produce that level of quality and creativity sooner than later! I've also been looking at getting a new lens.. I don't know. Well, I do, but money priorities may say otherwise. Either way, it's creativity that comes first; the camera and lenses are only there to provide a means of taking such thought-of photographs... Opportunity is up there, too, which I need more of. Or find a way to create an opportunity. Guess those are a couple things that go hand-in-hand as well.

While I'm on the subject of photography, I recently tried out some new printing processes... Definitely need to do that more often. I'll have to show you guys sometime! ;) I was really pleased with how they turned out.

One other note, for photographers: Look out for Nikon in the coming months. They seem to be working from the bottom to the top in their camera lineup. Which is interesting, because they worked from top to bottom in the last real push, starting with the elite D3 down to the D90, and then a little throughout. Now, with the introduction of the D3100, and if rumors of the D90 replacement are true, Nikon will create a solid foundation for the next run. They've been releasing new or updated versions of their lenses, too. New innovations and a real advancement in their products are on the rise.
