My first post of 2011. I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year's! I actually didn't do anything special; sat on the couch, with my cat, watching the fireworks at the Space Needle on TV. Ha. You'd think it'd be boring and I'd have to agree that it could've been a little more exciting. Ideally, I'd love to spend it with someone special. But, ironically, I didn't mind. I haven't been that simple about it in years.
I've kept up with a few resolutions so far, such as reading my Bible every day. And I have plenty more resolutions I have lined up throughout the year, and there would be nothing better than to complete each one! But for the most part, now January 5th, nothing major has changed around here; same 'ol, same 'ol. However, I have such high hopes and goals. I'm determined not to waste another year. ;)
2010 was an up and down year. One of the best in my life, what with seeing a couple of my best friends getting married (one in Texas), a mission trip to San Francisco, a quick jaunt to Tall Timber, gathering firewood for the winter... Going to Spokane to take engagement photos for two more amazing friends of mine, as well as sitting in on some great classes at Whitworth. But, we all had a brother called back home, and while that in itself is so freeing and unbelievably joyous for Ryan, we're not going to see him for the rest of our lives down here. That was saddening and certainly put a damper on several occasions last year. Although, it's also one of those things that drives me to make 2011 even better than 2010; ties in with the resolutions.
With all that being said, I'll try to be more consistent with my entries here. It's a new year! Time for new things and improve on everything that hasn't gone as planned in years past. 2011 will be good. =)
Cheers.
